An eye infection made it difficult for Shahid Kapur to see his co-star Amrita Rao eye-to-eye while shooting a romantic song.
The day the song was being shot, Shahid arrived on the sets feeling acute pain in his eyes and couldn’t keep them open. Because the entire setup was in place and the film’s crew was ready to roll, the shooting could not be postponed.
So, the movie’s director made some modifications – a little change in the choreography and a little change in camera angles – to shoot the song in such a way that Shahid could keep his eyes closed while romancing Amrita Rao before the camera.
Shahid, too, showed his professionalism and gave right facial expressions (of a guy in love) even though he was in pain deep inside.
We say it’s no big deal even if Shahid is shown romancing his heroine on the screen with his eyes closed. It was a dream sequence anyway.
‘Vivah’ has Shahid playing a guy named Prem. The movie is the story of two people who are engaged to get married.
