They may be in the business of selling liquor, consumption of which was staunchly opposed by Mahatma Gandhi; but on October 2, employees of DSIIDC-run ‘Liquor Vends’ in New Delhi will get a chance to remember the Mahatma’s ideals during a special screening of Lage Raho Munnabhai .
Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) has booked an entire cinema hall for its employees to watch the movie on Gandhi Jayanti, which is a dry day.
“There was no better way for us, as a large group to remember collectively what Mahatma Gandhi stood for, than to enjoy the film on the 100th anniversary of the Satyagraha movement,†said DSIIDC Managing Director, Jalaj Shrivastava.
‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’, starring Sanjay Dutt , Vidya Balan and Arshad Warsi , recalls the teachings of the Mahatma from the point of view of a Mumbai “taporiâ€.
