Sanjay Dutt keeping his fingers crossed

The coming weeks will decide the fate of famous Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt , accused number 117 in 1993 Mumbai serial blast case.

While the TADA court has delivered its verdict on the first eight accused, Sanjay Dutt will have to wait to hear his fate in the case. The slight respite for the actor is that he and the other accused have been exempted from making appearances in the court until they are summoned.

Dutt is accused of possessing three AK-47 rifles and other small ammunition that had allegedly come in the consignment meant for the blasts. He was arrested in April 1993 when his career was on a high. He spent 18 months in jail before coming out on bail.

Yesterday, during the time of Court’s verdict, Dutt was visibly tense. All he said was: “Bhagwan hi malik hai”.

Dutt has been visiting temples and dargahs over the last few weeks to offers his prayers and ask for blessings.

If found guilty, he could face an imprisonment of five years or more.

It could be a blow to his resurgent acting career that has hit a new high with the success of his latest release Lage Raho Munnabhai .

Of late, Dutt has been keeping a low profile. He even kept himself away from the promotional campaigns of ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’. He has already completed the shooting of Ekvalya and is not signing any new projects for the time being. Rather, he has been spending more time with his family and friends.

Now, the coming few weeks will decide the fate of the actor.
