The top 10 Hindi film songs of the week are:

1. “Ek toote huye dil ki” – Film: “Umrao Jaan”; Music: Anu Malik; Singer: Alka Yagnik. A short and sad track that has appealed to listeners is enjoying the top position this week as well.

2. “Main hoon don” – Film: “Don – The Chase Begins Again”; Singer: Shaan; Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The film opened this week and failed to impress the critics. However, this stylishly shot song is still holding the second position.

3. “Tere bin” – Film: “Bas Ek Pal”; Singer: Atif Aslam; Music: Mithoon. For the last two weeks this blues’ number is holding on to the third position.

4. “Chak de phatte”- “Khosla Ka Ghosla”; Singer: Kailash Kher; Music: Bapi-Tutul, Dhruv. A typical Punjabi fun song from the hit flick “Khosla Ka Ghosla” is enthralling music lovers.

5. “Pyaar kar ke pachhtaye” – Film: “Pyaar Ke Side Effects”; Singer: Labh Janjua; Music: Pritam. The film has received rave reviews, which has boosted the popularity of the song.

6. “Hum ko maaloom hai” – Film: “Jan-e-Mann”; Music: Anu Malik; Singers: Sonu Nigam and Sadhana Sargam. The film has released and critics have appreciated the endeavours of Shirish Kunder’s directorial debut. It was a visual treat to watch this conversational song on screen.

7. “Kya mujhe pyaar hai” – Film: “Woh Lamhe”; Singer: K.K.; Music: Pritam. The success of the film and the music has surprised trade watchers. This is certainly the best song in the album.
