It was a star-studded music launch at Mumbai’s Taj Lands End in Bandra. Celebrities from film industry, political figures, businessman and sports persons were at the glitzy launch of the film’s music album.
Besides the movie’s leading stars – Sushmita Sen and Shiney Ahuja – the event was attended by Shah Rukh Khan , Karisma Kapoor , Jackie Shroff , Govinda , Yukta Mookhey , cricketer Sachin Tendulkar with wife Anjali, businessman Mukesh Ambani with wife Neeta, Mukesh Bhatt, Sudhir Mishra and Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Vilashrao Deshmukh.
Also present were Madhur Bhandarkar , Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher .
A stunning looking Sushmita hit the stage with an energetic performance to the song ‘Humko Choone Paas Aayiye’ from the film. She even pulled her co-star Shiney Ahuja on the stage for a dance.
Shah Rukh Khan chipped in some moments of light humour when he was called on stage for the release of the music CD. When Sushmita in her high heels came and stood beside him, SRK said: “One is bigger on account of one’s actions, not one’s height.â€
The evening also featured three song-n-dance performances by the singers Zubeen Garg, Anushka Manchanda, Javed Ali and Tulsi Kumar. All of them have sung for the movie.
Anu Malik has composed the film’s music. The lyrics are penned by Mudassar Aziz and Syeed Qadri.
Tanuja Chandra , the movie’s director, was very enthused to see the heart-warming response to the film’s music and its audio-visual teaser.
‘Zindagi Rocks’ has Sushmita playing a singer. Shiney plays a doctor who has little time for anything except his patients. The film is a love story between two very unlikely people from different walks of life.
The film is produced by B.A.G Films Ltd. Other actors in the movie are Kim Sharma , Moushmi Chatterji and Seema Biswas.
The movie is slated for a September release.
