Rakesh Mehra’s ’Delhi-6’ is witnessing stars parading in and out of the film. First, Mehra signed Abhishek Bachchan for the lead role. Then, Hrithik Roshan replaced him. Now, Hrithik has left the film and Akshay Kumar has taken his place.
Hrithik left the film because of his date problems. Roshan had to choose between Joya Akhtar’s ‘Kismat Talkies’ and Rakesh Mehra’s ‘Delhi-6’. Since, the former had already been allotted the dates, Hrithik had to opt out of ‘Delhi-6’.
6 is the postal pin-code for Chandni Chowk area in Delhi where Mehra spent his childhood. The movie will be semi-autobiographical and the rest of the cast is yet to be finalized.
