Juhi had retired from the centerstage after her marriage to industrialist Jai Mehta. But once her daughter Janhavi was old enough, she started taking up significant strides in her post-heroine career in the form of films like 3 Deewarien with Nagesh Kukunoor and My Brother Nikhil with Onir. That’s not all, Juhi took the opportunity of the break from film to fulfill her dream of learning Indian classical music. After critically acclaimed performances, it looks like commercial ventures are taking note of Juhi again.
While she awaits the release of her second film with Onir titled Bas Ek Pal, the buzz is that Juhi has been signed on to play an important role alongside none other than Amitabh Bachchan for a film titled Bhootnath to be produced by Ravi Chopra who had earlier made Baghbaan. Chopra is currently giving finishing touches to his film Baabul which boasts of a stellar cast comprising on Big B Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Salman Khan and Rani Mukerjee. Bhootnath is a story centered around a man and a child. Amitabh will be seen playing the title role of Bhootnath in the film. The film will be directed by Vivek Sharma.
