Yes, it is Preity Zinta who spoke her mind to women self-help groups on the occasion of international women’s day at Delhi Hatt in the national capital. The actor was in the Capital to celebrate women’s day alongwith three iron ladies — Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and Union Minister Renuka Chowdhary.
‘’I really don’t know why men think that women are physically weaker. When women can endure the pain of giving birth to another life, then why are we treated as the physically weaker sex?” she asked.
On the occasion, bravery awards were presented to women who have shown unparalleled courage in their individual fight for women’s empowerment.
The extravaganza showcased products, including soft toys, Glass paintings, terracotta, jewellary, embroidered clothing and spices, made by women self-help groups.
