Hailing from Bengal, Konkona started her career with ‘Mr. and Mrs. Iyer’. Then she did not look back and her films, ‘Page 3’, ‘ Chai Pani ETC’, ’15 Park Avenue’, ‘Mixed Doubles’, ‘Yun Hota To Kya Hota’, ‘Omkara’ and ‘Deadline’ established her in Bollywood as an actress with the genre of Smita Patil and likes.
However, Konkona says that she had not thought about acting seriously as she always wanted to be a playback singer and loved singing Late Sachin Dev Burman’s songs. Now, Konkona gets to display her singing talents. She has sung a song written by Prasun Joshi in her forthcoming film ‘Sunglass’. She hopes the audiences accept her in this role too.
