Kareena Kapoor has added another feather to her cap. She will be awarded the Smita Patil Memorial Award instituted by the city based NGO Priyadarshini Academy.
This award is presented once every two years by Priyadarshini Academy since 1984. Nanik Rupani, the chairman of the NGO announced Kareena’s selection for the award for her outstanding contribution to Hindi films.
The presentation ceremony will be held mid-September and Maharashtra Chief Minister, Vilasrao Deshmukh will be the chief guest on the occasion.
