Bollywood stars jazz up ‘Lux Sabse Favorite Kaun 2010′ red carpet

The Indian Television Star Gold Lux Sabsey Favourite Kaun Awards is the only Bollywood awards decided by the audience. The red carpet ceremony for ‘Lux Sabse Favorite Kaun 2010’ was jazzed up by the B-Town celebrities with their style and panache. The guest list included the likes of Akshay Kumar, Bipasha Basu, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akhtar, Farah Khan, Arshad Warsi, Dia Mirza, Mugdha Godse, and other television actors.
Akshay Kumar, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra, Ritesh Deshmukh, Shruti Haasan, Prachi Desai and Mugdha Godse performed for the awards night and were also honored for their work.
The winners for ‘Lux Sabse Favorite Kaun 2010’ awards have been selected through a voting campaign spanning across 30 cities along with multiple brand activation and a multitude of voting techniques like the SFK Websites, SMS, among others. The show got a overwhelming response with a collection of over 1.7 crore votes from across the world.
The best part of the night was the wrapping up of it marked by an electrifying performance by Khiladi Kumar who hip-hopped to the hit track ‘Paisa Paisa’ from ‘De Dana Dan’ and later on the remix from ‘Blue’.

With the top gear heroines gracing the covers of fashion and lifestyle magazines, models are getting a run for their money it seems. The latest in this sequence is Deepika Padukone who is the cover-girl for the latest issue of the fashion magazine ‘Grazia’.
In the issue, Deepika says, “I charge what I think I am worth and if people are willing to pay me that much, it must mean that they think that I’m worth it too. No one affords risks like investing in actors they don’t really believe in.”
Talking about her proud father and ace badminton player, Prakash Padukone, she says “My father’s always told me that fame is temporary and it’s not important to dwell on it too much.”

“I love Beyonce and the way she is. I have tried a different hairstyle and make-up, too. It’s a funky track and the video looks very glamourous,” said Kareena.
Even choreographer Bosco cant stop praising Kareena and feels that she has done it even better than Beyonce. “Bebo looks hotter than Beyonce,” said Bosco.

‘Fashion’ clears censor board with an ‘A’ certificate

‘Fashion’ has already created a lot of stirs and anticipation even before its release. This controversial movie which threatens to expose the dark side of the fashion world has been finally cleared by the Censors, but it seems that it managed to threaten the censor board members so much so that they have awarded the movie with an ‘A’ certificate. The censors found the intimate love making scene shots on Priyanka and her boyfriend and also those of Kangana Ranaut to be quite bold and quite vulgar as well. The Censor also had issues with scenes in which Priyanka and Kangana are shown taking ‘Marijuana’, and snorting and injecting ‘drugs’.
This decision has obviously disappointed Madhur Bhandarkar as he would definitely be losing a major chunk of his audience group. Well, every dark cloud has a silver lining. So, the censor’s decision could very well act as a silver lining as the ‘A’ tag might help pull hoards of 18+ audiences to checkout some ‘skin show’ by Priyanka and of course the Kangana ‘Kandy’ in ‘Fashion’.

Ranbir Kapoor blows kiss for Deepika

The last day of the Lakme Fashion Week show on March 30 hadT the final act from actor-turned-show stopper Ranbir Kapoor who walked the ramp for Arjun Khanna in a brown, heavily embroidered sherwani. Not to mention, her current love interest, Deepika Padukone was there to cheer him sitting in the first row bonding well and chatting with mom Neetu Singh.
Ranbir, with his face and hair painted golden started with his signature dance step from the title song of ‘Saawariya’. Then, spotting Deepika in the first row, he gave a romantic twist to the show by blowing a ‘kiss’ straight to her lady love right from the ramp.
”There couldn`t have a better confession of love than this. Ranbir made it clear at the LFW that Deepika is his love interest,” said Rashmi Singh, who attended the show.
“Before I came here I didn’t know that my face would be painted golden. Only when I reached the venue and sat on a chair (backstage) to get the make-up done, I got to know about it. But I enjoyed the whole experience,” Ranbir said about his looks for the show.
Deepika being a successful model and Ranbir being a debutante on the ramp, the obvious one was whether the Kapoor kid took tips from the lady. “No I did not take any tips from Deepika before walking the ramp. I had never walked the ramp before. It was the first time for me but I was quite confident. It proved to be an excellent experience,” Ranbir coolly answered this one.

“Bipasha is one of those few people in Bollywood who love to experiment with their hair”, says Sapna Bhavnani. “Also, what works in her favour is the fact that her hair is luscious, thick and silky. Her attitude for style is unlike most of the other actresses who prefer to play safe with long hair. I am hopeful that Bipasha’s bob will become a rage among fans in the coming season.”

Bollywood male hotties — Milind Soman, Dino Morea and Arjun Rampal — stole the thunder at the finale of a stunning fashion show that celebrated two decades of Tina Tahiliani Parekh’s fashion store at Grand Hyatt on Sunday night.Choregraphed by Mehr Rampal, the show had an array of designers with Tarun Tahiliani, followed by Varun Bahl, Surily Goel, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Monisha Jaising, Anamika Khanna, Rajesh Pratap Singh and Rohit Bal.
Nonetheless, watching it all in the front row was Madhur Bhandarkar taking tips for his forthcoming film, ‘Fashion’. The presence of ever-so-beautiful Priyanka on his side just made all the difference.

Shilpa Shetty’s musical ‘Miss Bollywood’ has fallen down with a thud. After failing to receive any financial backing from London’s West End, Shilpa was forced to open her musical in Germany. The premiere received a bad response and the show has been facing harsh critical reviews, costume malfunctions and poor ticket sales.And now lead star Shilpa is down with some mystery illness, consequently failing to show-up at Friday’s performance.

‘Miss Bollywood’ gets a terrific response in Europe

‘Big Brother’ has done wonders for Shilpa Shetty’s international status. Her popularity in Europe was well witnessed when all hell broke loose as Shilpa shetty arrived on the stage for the debut of her musical ‘Miss Bollywood’. After Berlin, Shilpa will be performing in UK on November 3rd at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London.This first musical from India is all about passion for dance and is being choreographed by Ganesh Hedge, whose forte is pelvic moves and hip swaying. Ganesh has used 40 dancers to create the entire show sequences. Shilpa plays the character of Maya, a classical dancer, who moves to London and opens her own dance academy.
Neeta Lulla has designed 15 garments for Shilpa and they vary from bejeweled Anarkali kurtas to Dhoti pants thus, creating a sexy Indian fusion.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty walked the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week ramp at Pragati Maidan for Tarun Tahiliani’s collection “From Kutch to Kenya“.She mesmerized the audience in a flowing golden drape dress with a gold headband and waistband.
“People say that by bringing a celebrity on the ramp, a designer can get away with any kind of collection but that is not true. The drape evening dress was designed only keeping her in mind,” Tahiliani said after the show Thursday evening.
For the male counterpart, the collection was inspired by Kathiawari men in Kutch with models in dhotis and wrapped skirts and glorious safas to protect them from the summer sun. The colors ranged from creamy latte, pale pistachio to hot pink.
