Bollywood Music Top 10 chart

Indo-Asian News ServiceimageNew Delhi, (IANS) It’s time to enjoy the hit number “Main hoon Don” once again, but this time with Shah Rukh Khan on screen and Shaan singing it. The song has made an impressive entry and is at number one position on the list.

The top 10 Hindi film songs of the week are:

1. “Main hoon Don” – Film: “Don – The Chase Begins Again”; Singer: Shaan; Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Javed Akhtar has penned the lyrics for the popular song being lapped up by music lovers.

2. “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna” – Film: “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna”; Singers: Alka Yagnik and Sonu Nigam; Music: Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The song has shown some improvement and has moved up the chart.

3. “Aap ki khatir” – Film: “Aap Ki Khatir”; Singer: Himesh Reshammiya; Music: Himesh Reshammiya. The film, which opened last week, didn’t receive encouraging reviews but the song is doing reasonably well.

4. “Bidee” – Film: “Omkara”; Singers: Sunidhi Chauhan, Sukhwinder Singh; Music: Vishal Bhardwaj. This rustic item number, which remained on top for weeks, has gone three notches down.

5. “Golmaal” – Film: “Golmaal – Fun Unlimited”; Singers: Anushka Manchandani, Vishal Dadlani; Music: Vishal-Shekhar. The song, which got pushed to the last slot from number four last week, has made progress and enjoys number five position.

6. “Chand sifarish” – Film: “Fanaa”; Singers: Shaan and Kailash Kher; Music: Jatin-Lalit. A naughty and romantic number that has remained on top of the charts for months and seems to have entrenched itself permanently in the number six position.

7. “Junoon”- Film: “Rocky – The Rebel”; Singers: Himesh Reshammiya and Amrita Kak; Music: Himesh Reshammiya. The rocking number, which was not on the charts last week, has re-entered and occupies number seven slot.

8. “Hai Ishq Ye Kya Ek Khata” – Film: “Bas Ek Pal”; Singers: K.K. Sunidhi Chauhan; Music: Pritam. The song with meaningful lyrics and lilting composition by Pritam will take time to grow on the listeners.

9. “Pal pal har pal” – Film: “Lage Raho Munna Bhai”; Singer – Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal; Music: Shantanu Moitra. The film is a hit and this melodious number, which is different from other love songs, was a treat to watch on the screen. The song is being played on all music channels.

10. “Ek kahani” – Film: “Krrish”; Singer: Kunal Ganjawala; Music: Rajesh Roshan. The film has become the biggest blockbuster of the year but the album, which was not an instant hit, is losing its charm.
