Never had a convocation at Delhi university attracted such attention before. And why not? For this time, it was going to confer an honorary doctrate on one of its brightest stars – Amitabh bachchan. There were others too, but it was bachchan Junior’s surprise appearance (Hair band and all) that had the crowd hysterical.
The day belonged to Amitabh Bachchan. The convocation ceremony at the Delhi University has been the talk of the town(Delhi) for some time now..what with the sexy-at 60 star beingf one of those to be conferred an honorary degree. The sheer charisma of the star eclipsed the other luminaries also being honoured on the occasion, like it or not. And with son Abhishek Bachchan putting in a late but style appearance crowned by a fashion statement of great recall value – his much talked hairband – the event finally turned into a team Bachchan gala.The crowds that thronged the convention hall were not complaining. After all, it is not everyday that Jaya and Abhishek Bachchan are seeing exchanging jokes as Big B gets to be Dr Big B.
