Deepika Padukone unveils Kingfisher Swimsuit 2010 Calendar

Deepika Padukone has created stirs when she was a part of the Kingfisher Swimsuit Calendar in 2006. Now, this Sunday, the actress unveiled the 2010 edition of Kingfisher’s swimsuit special calendar and she is very proud of it. She says, “In the beginning of my career, I was a part of the calendar and it’s becoming better every year. Girls in this calendar have done a fantastic job. It’s of international standards and it’s one of the best calendars in the world.”
“I am very proud of 2010 edition of the Kingfisher swimsuit special,” said Vijay Mallya, UB group chairman, adding that the calendar has given an opportunity to many young models from India and the world, and he hoped to continue the trend.
This year, noted photographer Atul Kasbekar has taken the photographs for the calendar which will feature five stunning models and has been shot in the exotic locales of Soneva Fushi and Soneva Gili at Six Senses resort in Maldives. The calendar will be launched in January 2010 in Mumbai.

Deepika Padukone graces the cover of ‘Grazia’

With the top gear heroines gracing the covers of fashion and lifestyle magazines, models are getting a run for their money it seems. The latest in this sequence is Deepika Padukone who is the cover-girl for the latest issue of the fashion magazine ‘Grazia’.
In the issue, Deepika says, “I charge what I think I am worth and if people are willing to pay me that much, it must mean that they think that I’m worth it too. No one affords risks like investing in actors they don’t really believe in.”
Talking about her proud father and ace badminton player, Prakash Padukone, she says “My father’s always told me that fame is temporary and it’s not important to dwell on it too much.”
True, the girl is wise enough for her age and innocent looks!

Deepika Padukone – the new face of Aspire Real Estate

She has endorsed big ones like Maybelline, Levis Strauss, Pepsi and Tissot SA. Talking about Deepika Padukone, the girl definitely has things on a move both in professional and personal front. Where she has the current heartthrob of tinsel town, Ranbir Kapoor, in her arms, she has just grabbed another big endorsement deal. Padukone has just added another feather to her cap by becoming the new face of Dubai’s Aspire Real Estate.
The chairman of the company, Harshit Kantaria, is today a proud owner of Dhs5.5 bn portfolio with developments from Business Bay to Jumeirah Village and Dubai Marina, and special focus on waterfront properties as well. The promising company, Aspire Real Estate, chose Deepika Padukone as a brand ambassador because of her image as a true rising star of Bollywood, claimed the chairman Kantaria.
Since, Aspire Real estate is the new kid in Dubai real estate block and is making it big there in the same way as newcomer Deepika is making it big in Bollywood, the Union of ‘Rising Stars’ is the name given by the company to the association.

Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan in Sajid Khan’s next

Sajid Khan has already cracked a hit in his maiden project ‘Heyy Babyy’ under Sajid Nadiawala Productions. Now, he is set for his second directorial venture, this again a multi-starrer romantic comedy, ‘Housefull’ with Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. The pair is already appearing in ‘Chandni Chowk To China’. In addition, he has chosen Riteish Deshmukh (Riteish has proved himself time and again in comedy) for the second lead. Recently, he signed Jiah Khan as the second female lead and is on the lookout for a third girl.
Rumours doing rounds were that Big B has also been signed for the movie, but Sajid denies this saying, “I had informed you earlier about the trio of Akshay, Deepika, and Riteish, being signed for my film. In addition to that, I have now signed Jiah Khan as the second lead heroine in the film. And I am on a lookout for the third girl.”

Ranbir Kapoor blows kiss for Deepika

The last day of the Lakme Fashion Week show on March 30 hadT the final act from actor-turned-show stopper Ranbir Kapoor who walked the ramp for Arjun Khanna in a brown, heavily embroidered sherwani. Not to mention, her current love interest, Deepika Padukone was there to cheer him sitting in the first row bonding well and chatting with mom Neetu Singh.
Ranbir, with his face and hair painted golden started with his signature dance step from the title song of ‘Saawariya’. Then, spotting Deepika in the first row, he gave a romantic twist to the show by blowing a ‘kiss’ straight to her lady love right from the ramp.
”There couldn`t have a better confession of love than this. Ranbir made it clear at the LFW that Deepika is his love interest,” said Rashmi Singh, who attended the show.
“Before I came here I didn’t know that my face would be painted golden. Only when I reached the venue and sat on a chair (backstage) to get the make-up done, I got to know about it. But I enjoyed the whole experience,” Ranbir said about his looks for the show.
Deepika being a successful model and Ranbir being a debutante on the ramp, the obvious one was whether the Kapoor kid took tips from the lady. “No I did not take any tips from Deepika before walking the ramp. I had never walked the ramp before. It was the first time for me but I was quite confident. It proved to be an excellent experience,” Ranbir coolly answered this one.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone – Love birds in Bangkok

Bangkok suddenly seems to be have become the second home for Bollywood these days. Saying so, coz recall all the Bollywood stars and half of them are in Bangkok either for work or fun (read pleasure). Neera Vora’s ‘Shortcut’ has let 4 A-stars (Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Arshad Warsi and Amrita Rao) have work and play in this fun city. Also stationed in Bangkok is another A-star, Akshay Kumar, who is shooting for Nikhil Advani’s ‘Chandni Chowk To China’ with pretty and nubile co-star Deepika Padukone.Talking about Deepika, Ranbir Kapoor could just not be left out. So, instead of leaving his prized possession in the hands of ill famous Bollywood playboy, Akshay Kumar, (Don’t’ mind Twinkle!), the Kapoor prince decided to fly off to Bangkok to guard his lady love. Ranbir got an assignment to do a photoshoot for Filmfare magazine in Bangkok and, knowing that Deepika was already there, the actor lapped it up excitedly.
On Friday, he left for Bangkok for the photoshoot. Now, the love birds are surely painting the city of Bangkok red.

Deepika Padukone celebrates her 22nd birthday with Yuvraj in Sydney

Yuvraj Singh has definitely scored a century off the ground. He has managed to get in the most happening girl of Bollywood, Deepika Padukone, as his girlfriend. Yes, it is no more a news now. Deepika and Yuvi are very much in relationship.Deepika flew down to Sydney on Wednesday on Yuvi’s special invite to watch the ongoing India-Australia test series. The couple was also spotted at a popular Sydney restaurant having a gala time together. Deepika has gone there to shoot for a Yashraj film the schedule of which starts from January 7. Meanwhile, Deepika celebrated her 22nd birthday with Yuvraj on Jan 5.
